Ensemble Health Partners Breaks Record for Largest School Supply Drive in
Crayons to Computers 21-Year History

Ensemble Employees Collect More Than 11,500 school supplies for Push 4 Pencils

September 20, 2018. Cincinnati, OH – The employees of Ensemble Health Partners located in Mason, OH, have shattered the record for the largest school supply drive in the 21-year history of Crayons to Computers. As part of the Push 4 Pencils campaign, Ensemble collected 11,757 school supply items including 3,050 folders, 2,023 spiral notebooks, 1,049 boxes of crayons, 1,101 glue sticks, 1,054 pencils and more. This significant donation will go a long way to level the playing field in the classroom for students in need. The estimated value of the donated items raised is approximately $44,708.

The school supply drive was an initiative of Ensemble’s SWAG (Serving With Attitude and Gratitude) Committee. This committee is an associate-led group that leads and drives charitable giving initiatives for the company. This is the second year that Ensemble employees have participated in the school supply drive. This year’s donation doubled the amount that was raised in 2017.

Push 4 Pencils is the annual school supply drive for Crayons to Computers. The campaign started in July and is just now wrapping up.

“Crayons is 100% funded by the generosity and dedication of local individuals, foundations and corporations,” says Amy Cheney, President and CEO, Crayons to Computers.

“We do not receive any government, United Way or school system funding. To date, 69 corporations have donated a total of 22,875 items. Ensemble’s drive with a total of 11,757 school supplies this year is more than 1/2 of all other companies combined!”

“At Ensemble, giving back to the local communities where we live and work is one of our core principles,” says Shannon White, President and COO, Ensemble.

“I am so proud of the generosity and giving spirit of our associates that contributed to this great cause to benefit those children that need our help the most.”
